In our efforts to optimize and create value-add activities, we can sometimes forget that one of the most potent opportunities to accelerate value creation is by removing the stuff we don’t want: waste. In the context of product development, waste can be defined as any activity which does not add value to a paying customer. The elimination of waste shortens feedback loops, increases the pace of value delivery and enhances an organization's ability to out-innovate competitors. In this 75-minute workshop, participants will map their value-stream, calculate process efficiency metrics, learn about the different types of waste, identify opportunities for waste reduction, and learn how to communicate them in a way that appeals to their business’s bottom line.
